Last month Buzzfeed released a guide describing its editorial standards and ethics. It details everything from sourcing practices and how corrections and errors are handled, to how Buzzfeed views ethical questions, and the ways in which the newsroom there is insulated from business issues. But there’s one conspicuous absence: Where are Buzzfeed’s standards or policies for the data and algorithms that are used in producing their news and information?
