Ziliang Samuel Zhong

Bio: Samuel is a PhD student at the NYU Center for Data Science (Shanghai-track), advised by Prof. Shuyang Ling. He is broadly interested in optimization, network analysis, and machine learning. Prior to CDS, Samuel received a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from NYU Shanghai. While at NYU Shanghai, he also worked with Prof. Ling on his undergraduate thesis: “Exact recovery for the stochastic co-block model”. Currently, he is working on finding an efficient algorithm for the Procrustes Matching Problem. Outside of work, he enjoys badminton, painting, and photography.
