Data Science for Everyone Video Series

Andrea Jones-Rooy, Data Science for Everyone Course Instructor

Welcome to the course book and video series inspired by DS-UA 111: Data Science for Everyone, one of our most popular undergraduate courses. Developed by former CDS Professor of Politics and Data Science Arthur Spirling and former CDS Director of Undergraduate Studies and Visiting Professor Andrea Jones-Rooy, the course notes and video series highlight lectures from topics such as “how to think like a data scientist” to statistics, programming, and machine learning approaches.

First in the CDS sequence for the Data Science major and minor, as well as our joint majors, Data Science for Everyone is a “first step toward becoming a critical practitioner of data science,” stated former CDS Faculty Fellow and instructor George Wood. The course may also be taken independently for students interested in data science, but not yet ready to declare data science as their major or minor.
