Student Groups

The Center for Data Science fosters a vibrant community through various student-led organizations. These groups provide opportunities for networking, professional development, and community building among data science students. From the Graduate Student Community-Building Group to the Data Science Club and Women in Data Science (WiDS), our student organizations cater to diverse interests and goals within the field. These groups organize events, facilitate discussions, and create platforms for students to engage with peers, faculty, and industry professionals.

Below, you’ll find detailed information about our current student groups, including their missions, leadership, and how to get involved.

Student Inclusion and Belonging Advisory Board

At the NYU Center for Data Science, we are committed to cultivating an environment where every individual feels valued and supported. This commitment is central to our success as both a research center and an academic program. As a part of CDS’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative, we established the Student Inclusion and Belonging Advisory Board, whose purpose is to create a space where students from all backgrounds can come together and express themselves openly and comfortably.
