Financial Aid & Fellowships (MS)

Details can be found below:

  • CDS awards tuition scholarships to incoming MS students on a competitive basis.
  • All applicants are automatically  considered for these awards, which provide partial tuition coverage for up to two years.

Student Career & Professional Development

CDS collaborates with the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development to support students through the internship and job search process in a number of ways:

  • The Center hosts company information sessions each fall and spring, where representatives share their data science initiatives and typical project work.
  • Career fairs connect students directly with recruiters from companies hiring data scientists.
  • CDS organizes datathons and hackathons, where students work with company datasets and have their solutions judged by industry professionals.
  • Professional development workshops throughout the year cover resume reviews, interview preparation, and communication skills.

Student Groups

The Center for Data Science fosters a vibrant community through various student-led organizations, including:

  • CDS Graduate Student Community-Building Group
  • Data Science Club
  • Women in Data Science (WiDS)

These groups provide opportunities for networking, professional development, and community building among data science students.
