Christopher Ick

Bio: Chris is a PhD student at the NYU Center for Data Science, currently jointly advised by Professors Brian McFee and David Hogg. Currently, his research interests lie in audio signal processing in urban environments, multi-source methods in recommender systems, and Bayesian modeling methods. Prior to joining CDS, Chris worked as a research scientist under David Hogg and Kyle Cranmer, utilizing Gaussian Processes for modeling solar flares, and low-count dark matter detection experiments, and as an adjunct instructor for several undergraduate courses. Chris holds a B.S. in physics with minors in computer science and mathematics.
