Bio: Ellen Su is a PhD student at the NYU Center for Data Science, advised by Todd Gureckis. She studies the intersection of machine learning and cognitive science and is particularly interested in the representations in humans and artificial intelligence systems which enable efficient language learning, visual reasoning, and decision making. Prior to NYU, she obtained a BSE in Computer Science at Princeton University and spent a year at the Broad Institute working on graph neural networks for drug discovery. Outside of research, Ellen spends her time running and reading.
