Bio: Varun Yerram is a PhD student at the NYU Center for Data Science, co-advised by Eunsol Choi and He He. He is interested in using new methods for training language models. Prior to NYU, Varun worked at Google DeepMind, India, where he worked on new pretraining methods. He has also worked on long-context efficiency, knowledge graphs, and multi-modal models. He holds a bachelor’s degree from IIT Guwahati.
